The young people of the project with a slow and careful step, between limits and borders, on the path of disabilities guests of the municipality of Parrano

The young people of the project with a slow and careful step, between limits and borders, on the path of disabilities guests of the municipality of Parrano On Friday 22nd July, the kids from the project “With a slow and careful step, between limits and borders, in the path of disabilities” were guests of the Municipality of Parrano, at the Bagno del Diavolo Thermal Park. The Asociatia Universitur was involved for Romania. The Council for Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency Kavadarci for Macedonia. Joqeveritare Thy Udruzenje for Kosovo “A beautiful meeting – commented the mayor, Valentino Filippetti – which confirms the value and professionalism of the Artemide Association with which we have been collaborating for years”. The Erasmus Plus international exchange – co-financed by the National Youth Agency – which takes place until Tuesday 26 July at the Casa Laboratorio “Il Cerquosino”, is the second step of a project carried out in May with training for volunteers, operators and youth workers in the social sector on the theme of disability, difficulties and obstacles that are part of life. The project will end in September with the second Youth Exchange, in which young people from Greece, Lithuania and Albania, as well as Italy, will participate. The exchange, composed of an integrated group, has the objective, starting from the unveiling and recognition of prejudices and stereotypes, to defuse the mechanisms that are lodged in collective imaginations dictated by lack of knowledge. This, through meeting and storytelling, gives young people with disabilities and without the opportunity to show something other than what others have elaborated about them. In fact, relating to disability presupposes an orientation towards experimentation and the willingness to flexibly manage processes and changes in perspective. The methodologies are those of non-formal education, social theater, theater-education, storytelling, collective writing, song-writing practice and active citizenship. “The need to meet also and above all in joy, visit the territory, the institutions, meet the citizens – they say from the Artemide Association – was offered to us by the Municipality of Parrano that hosted us in the thermal pool of Bagno del Diavolo where we spent an extraordinary day”.

The objective of the training course is to provide new tools to the social workers, educators and active citizens who work with children, youngsters and adults victims of war and/or situations of extreme social exclusion such as those caused by migration processes. The training therefore aims to: • Explore the cultural differences and explore how different Countries have addressed issues of immigration and emigration. • Analyse how gender can affect group dynamics and leadership and, therefore, how it can contribute to exclusion, with particular attention to the double discrimination of immigrant women. • The dynamics of power as people exercise power over others: how it is used consciously and unconsciously in the group and everyday life; We propose an interactive methodology using the tools promoted by non-formal education. The workshops are based on the active methodologies proposed by theatre (Theatre of the oppressed), collective storytelling and songwriting, photo/video workshops… We believe that all these tools are powerful in order to promote intercultural dialogue, to share experiences and good practices, to analyse conflicts and address them in a non-violent way. At the end of each step we produce: • the realization of an open final performance • the writing and recording of a song • a docu-video about our story together. Ritmo con Segni – National Meetings

Ritmo con Segni – National Meetings Since 2021, the Ritmo con Segni Italia collective has been organizing its national meetings at the Casa Laboratorio Il Cerquosino. The teachers and numerous students of the various Italian groups are guided by the Argentine composer Santiago Vazquez, founder and creator of the Ritmo con Segni method in 2006. The meetings last about a week during which various workshops follow one another for different learning levels. The goal is to offer each participant a rich and articulated training, a moment of meeting and comparison, a collective immersion in Ritmo Con Segni. An opportunity to study, learn, grow, away from the daily rhythm, finding an alternative rhythm. The days always end with improvised concerts that ignite the evenings to share in celebration until late at night.
